The Hofzinser Transparent Card (also known as the Hofzinser See-Thru Card), is a red-backed card that when held up to a light source (candle,table lamp, flashlight, ceiling light) will show through a black spot card but when the card is removed from the light source and turned over, the face of the card has changed into a red spot card.
Example: A card is held near a table lamp.The back side is in view and the light "shines-through" the image of the Two of Clubs. In other words, you see the Two of Clubs through the back of the card. However, when the card is turned over, it is the Nine of Diamonds.
This card can be used to make a clever card transposition as explain above. More so,it can also be used to make an openly "wrong" prediction that turns out to be right.
Example; The Magician presents a red-back card stating that it is a prediction card.This card is leaned against a table lamp --- the TWO of Clubs shows through. Next, the Magician takes a blue-back deck of cards and has the spectator select one --- it's the Nine Of Diamonds. Of course, everyone can see that the prediction card is wrong --- until it's turned over showing a match.
Available in Red Rider Backs. The show-through card will be a black (spades or clubs) spot card (ace, two or three) and the acutaul face of the card will be a red (hearts or diamonds) spot card (seven, eight or nine).
