Yes, this is the effect that you heard rumors about and the rumors aren’t exaggerated.
This is the effect that uses a small motorized toy truck to find a freely selected card.
The toy truck is an electronic wonder that has the programmed (hard-wired) ability to “read cards”. That’s right, it has the ability to detect and “respond” to card patterns. No magnets, no strings or wires, no sticky glue or wax. No remote control (self- contained). No watch batteries (uses 1 regular AAA). Again, POW can "read" card patterns !

Here’s the effect:
You introduce your assistant : a small modified, motorized toy truck by the name of “POW” (Psychic On Wheels). You place POW on the table, stating that your trusty assistant has special psychic abilities which will be demonstrated in a moment.
Then you cut off about half a deck of cards and hand the spectator a packet of 15-26 cards. The spectator freely selects any card. Let’s say it’s the Queen of Diamonds. The selected card is placed in a packet of 5-7 cards and freely shuffled. These cards are laid on the table in a row side by side creating a “travel path”.
Now you take a sheet of paper and draw a long winding (straight and curved) line (path/road) that leads to the row of cards.
You place POW at the starting point and give him instructions to use his psychic abilities. Turn him on and let him go. He amazingly travels the drawn path exactly to the row of cards and stops directly on the selected card.
There’s a strong reaction just to the sight of POW traveling along the road randomly drawn on paper, even before stopping on and pointing to the selected card.
Facts:
- Any deck of Bicycle brand playing cards can be used. A borrowed deck can be used.
- A card is freely selected among a packet of cards (up to 26 cards).
- This effect can be done as a Thought-of-Card routine.
- The spectator can lay out the row of cards in any order.
- Cards can be placed on any flat surface: close-up pad, table top or floor.
- The spectator can draw the travel path to the row of cards.
- The spectator can place POW at the start line and turn him on.
- POW will do 95% of the work.
