Do you to shine in your performances? Of course you do! Well, so does your props and accessories. I am talking about the appearances of your props and accessories. If you have any natural wood products, keep them clean and a good wood wax will make them shine (also protects them from the elements). Painted props can be washed with a mildsolution of soap and water, dry thoroughly and polish with a flannel cloth.

Any chrome props and/or accessories? A good all purpose window cleaner will clean them and a car wax will polish and protect them. All other painted metal props treat the same as chrome. Silks, flowers, rope all need to be clean pressed or thrown out. check all items for wear and tear and recondition or again toss them out.

How about you? Well you too need to be clean, well groomed and clothes pressed and crisp. Any jewlery like rings, chains, cufflinks and etc. need to be polished, cleaned and/or replaced. Now for the small items most younger performers forget, their hands and finger nails, please keep them clean and nails buffed or at least clean. Here is a great clean tip. Wear cloth gloves or latex gloves while setting up show so your hands and nails stay clean and shiny.

Now you can shine with your personality. Always bring your good attitude and leave grumpy home. Talk and treat spectators as your friends or better.
